The recommendations sitting on top of those specs are editorial opinions, reasoned from the verified numbers and from the published words of critics and listeners, and we label them as opinions every single time. What we can tell you, and what we cannot
We can tell you accurately how long a recording runs, which translation and narrator it uses, whether it is complete, abridged, dramatized, or a retelling, and where to hear it. Those are facts, checked and dated. What we add on top is judgment: which recording suits a first listen, which sounds grandest, which is shortest without cutting a line. That judgment is ours, informed but not infallible, and we would rather label an opinion than dress it up as a measurement. We are not ranking the literary merit of translations the way a scholar would. We are helping you pick a listening experience, and we keep the objective specs strictly separate from the taste.
How to correct us
Accuracy is the entire reason this site exists, so a wrong spec is a genuine bug. If a runtime, a label, or a date here does not match the recording’s own listing, it is worth flagging, and we re-check it against the listing and re-date the check. Nothing gets edited quietly here: when a fact changes, its date changes with it, so you can always see how fresh a number is.
