Privacy policy

The short answer

This site collects no personal information directly. When analytics are enabled, standard anonymized usage data is gathered to understand what helps listeners. Outbound links to Amazon and Audible are affiliate links. That is the whole story, and the full policy follows.

What this site collects

No accounts, no forms, no comments, no newsletter. This site never asks for your name, email, or any personal detail. When analytics are enabled, this site uses standard tools (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) to understand aggregate usage: which pages are read, roughly how long, and on what kind of device. These tools set cookies and collect anonymized usage data under their own privacy policies. Nothing collected here is sold, and nothing identifies you personally to this site.

How the money works

Outbound links to Amazon and Audible are affiliate links. If you buy a recording or start a membership through them, this site may earn a commission at no cost to you. The full editorial rules that keep money from touching verdicts are on the methodology page.

Third parties

Fonts are self hosted, so font requests never leave this site. Analytics, when enabled, load from Google and Microsoft. Affiliate destinations are operated by Amazon. Each of those services has its own privacy policy governing what it collects on its own pages.

Changes

If data practices here ever change, this page changes first, and the site footer always shows the date of the last build.
